Bates Printing produces a full range of commercial
printing: single-color product sheets as well as full-color
brochures with special finishes, professionally bound
books and calendars, intricately die-cut pocket folders,
reserved seat tickets with visual impact for regional
sports and entertainment venues, corporate identity
packages, and exquisite art posters.
Using high-end digital technology, Bates Printing can
accept files in any format. Our expert pre-press department
can use digital files directly, adapt files if necessary,
or completely reconstruct a jobwhatever it takes
to turn client materials into a professional printed
piece. From the smallest labels to our largest press
sheet (19" x 25.5"), digital proofing and
platemaking are achieved with a new Heidelberg computer-to-plate
four-up platesetter.
Heidelberg technology continues in the pressroom, where
the choice of presses is dependent on the job size and
run length. Bates Printing has also maintained its letterpress
capability, both hand-fed and automatic, for special
imprinting work. In addition to creative effects for
artists and museums, our letterpress process is used
to print shopping bags, tissue paper, and other unusual
substrates.
Finishing services at Bates Printing include die-cutting,
scoring, perforating, and numbering. Right angle and
gatefolds augment our standard folding capabilities.
Drilling, saddle stitching, padding, and customer-specified
packaging are routine bindery operations. The staffs
attention to job detail is vigilant from inception through
shipping.
