Bates Printing’s new account manager, Jillian N. Bates, greets her customers with an infectious smile and a soft-spoken, easy-going nature. She’s new to the job, but not new to the company. Jillian is the fifth generation of the Bates family to bring beautifully printed images to Northeast Ohio and beyond.

Her poetry and artwork have been published as part of the Bates Printing calendar several times. In fact, the 2002 calendar exclusively featured her photography.

With a passion for black and white photography, Jillian enjoys composing and capturing images as well as making prints in her darkroom. Her work has been published in Massillon’s newspaper, The Independent; two editions of the Massillon Area Chamber of Commerce “Massillon Alive” brochure; and the Massillon Chamber newsletter, “The Business Connection.”

While always making time to spend with her family, she enjoys playing tennis and following fashion—occasionally designing unique pieces of apparel for herself. Jillian will graduate in 2004 from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
